That of visiting an island in Thailand was one of the main goals of the trip.

There are many and there is something for everyone. Aside from evaluating which ones are more or less crowded, the time of year should be considered. In fact, the climate changes significantly between the Gulf of Siam (east side) and Andaman Sea (west side).

Visiting an island in Thailand, Ko Phangan

The transfer to the renowned island, a classic tropical paradise, was by a combination of plane, bus, and ferry and was quite sad, thinking of the French I had left behind in Cambodia.

Splashing among the colorful fish is always nice

Ko Phangan is famous for the party held on the beach on full moon evenings that attracts thousands of revelers. When there is no party it is very quiet, I chose to go there specifically at that time; and I chose one of the islands in the Gulf of Siam, because in July the other islands are very rainy.

I took a tour that included.

  • island tour by boat
  • Three beautiful dives where I saw many beautiful colorful fish and coral
  • a kayak ride

Tipping over in a canoe with a Frenchman

Again as with snorkeling in Egypt I had some little problems, although different. I went kayaking (on the sea, close to the shore) with a guy also from Paris. I can say with certainty that it is definitely not my sport, as I was always in Benny Hill scenes.

Also on this tour as in general throughout the trip, I met a lot of French people; Italians mostly go to the more crowded places with movida.

The majority of beaches are sandy I really like the forest behind it

On that occasion, as gallant heroes, it had seemed to us that the other kayak where there were two friends from London, was in a bit of trouble and we approached to see if they needed a hand. But there instead of helping, we capsized by falling overboard, and then we had, as it were, some difficulty getting back up.

In the end, it was very funny, especially to the other French people who were watching us from the shore, doubled over in laughter.
