When I was a child, the idea of traveling to Eastern Europe was equivalent to going to an exotic and even more mysterious country.

At fall of the Berlin Wall I was 18 years old and I was someone who was already informed about politics and history; therefore, I was aware of what an immense scope that event had.

What was on the other side of the Iron Curtain in earlier years was a bit of a mystery; going there now you hardly notice the difference between those countries and other Europeans, but in certain areas and situations there are still traces of a different world.
