Sleeping in hostel with mega snoring

Among many, one of my most positive experiences in sleeping in hostels was in the capital of Denmark, but from the second day.

I had the opportunity to visit Copenhagen during a solo weekend in April 2018. I liked the general, although what I remember most fondly was visiting Christiania, which I barely knew.

I arrived already sick, with a very bad cold. Before the Covid it was accepted, not like now that if you sneeze in public everyone jumps to keep you at a distance. Already the first night I evidently had a very noisy sleep, being completely shut down. As a consequence of this, my comrades asked to move and I was always alone in the days to follow. Basically a single paid as a dormitory. The Danes were kind enough not to burden me despite the fact that there were quite a few people in the hostel anyway. The choice to sleep in the hostel was motivated by the fact that the city is definitely expensive.

Visiting Copenhagen and knowledge

Of the city I particularly enjoyed the couple of hours spent visiting Christiania, the hippy neighborhood partially self-governed since the 1970s. There you can find the 60-year-old lady going to buy cannabis, and at large tables in the garden you chat with people from all over. But I also ended up witnessing an occasional reunion between two classmates at Reggio Emilia Elementary School.

Years later I had the good fortune to hang out a few months with a nice girl I called the punckappestia. Costei as a young woman had lived several months in a van parked right next to the entrance to Christiania with her fire-eating boyfriend; a few dogs; a son; and a family of mice that had nested in the wall of the van and traveled around Europe with them.

Although my cold was almost gone, even on the last evening others fled from me. I met a Neapolitan girl at Tivoli Park, the equivalent of Vienna’s Prater, we chatted for a while, even speculated about going to dinner then suddenly her phone rang, and she dismissed me with a I must run away goodbye.

Excursions in the surrounding area

Little bad because I was in contact with a U.S. woman of Asian descent, by the way very nice as well as bright. She only freed herself for a beer but was very nice. I also took a tour of the surrounding area to visit the Viking ship museum in Roskilde. I also went to Malmoe in Sweden, which is reached by a spectacular bridge.
