If the outward journey was characterized by the wise little girl, the return was worse. I had a problem with low cost, but I was the naive one, despite having made dozens of trips with them.

The so-called low-cost

When flying with so-called low-cost, or perhaps more correct to say former low-cost, airlines, one should always have in mind the fact that in their corporate policy there are a whole series of ploys to extract extra money. So there is special care to be taken, both when booking and checking in.

If everything goes smoothly, it’s a cakewalk, but if there is any inconvenience, it becomes a climb. I once had to seek dialogue through call centers and they drove me crazy. Incidentally, after several attempts I found out that the inconvenience was not even up to them but up to the credit card.

To avoid some problems with low cost, watch out for hand luggage

Contrary to what had happened to me several times, after checking in via the app, I was told that in Marrakesh airport I would have to go through the counter before security. Here they made a fuss about my carry-on luggage, despite the fact that I pointed out that it was the same backpack that had been used for years and I had never had any problems with the low-cost airline in question. They had me try the iron frame and indeed my backpack did not meet the limits by a few millimeters. This destabilized me and I became nervous and lost my mind.

I went to pay at another counter; they gave me a receipt where it said 130 euros! I flew into a rage not realizing that it was the total for the flight and lashed out at the all-too-blame operator at the check-in counter. Then I got even more upset when I realized that it would be enough to take something out of my backpack.

So the rule to avoid any problems with low cost, is to never take anything for granted and always be prepared to do the Michelin man if you only have carry-on luggage. One must always be careful when flying with them!
