Marriage proposal
However, I think many people have dwelt especially on the second part of the title.
I had just woken up, and with my Australian friend with whom I had been sharing a bed for the past few weeks, there was this exchange of banter.
Her: Will you marry me?
Me: Are you crazy!
Her: How fortunate to have the most beautiful cities in the world and all those medieval villages nearby…I’m tired of Australia, I want to stay here. If I get married, I can apply for citizenship
I had met her the previous summer; we spent a very fun and alcoholic evening but I never thought we would see each other again. After a few weeks, we agreed to tour Andalusia, and between greetings from various friends she had in Italy, she spent several more days with me. She had often complained that from Brisbane to see some civilization she had to take a plane and that the oldest building in Australia would be the most modern in Europe, but I had not intended that her motivation for moving would be so high.

On the road into central Italy: territory to be discovered all
I had begun to realize how lucky I was to live in Italy when I began to get fed up with weekends spent at the bar watching soccer games.
Since 2017 I have started to take more or less long trips or weekends even purely naturalistic ones, rediscovering the pleasure of walking in nature.
At one time I had female friends, more or less intimate, whom I would visit or meet halfway with. I would combine the pleasure of female companionship with the opportunity to visit villages, towns and museums. On one busy weekend I saw a friend in Todi on Friday and another in Cortona on Saturday.
But I often went away alone, in summer even in a tent; even for touch-and-go. Except for Rome and Tuscany, which also have too many visitors, it is a region really Central Italy is brimming with beautiful places to visit that deserve more attention.
