My first time in Africa could only be the Nile cruise. It was a dreamed destination since childhood, because of the ancient Egyptians and the movie (Murder on the Nile) based on Agatha Christie ‘s novel with the famous character Hercule Poirot.
The Nile Cruise
After having this experience I believe that if one has to choose a cruise in life, the one not to be missed is the one that goes down the great river stopping at the various archaeological sites. In addition to the sailing days, as per the classic itinerary we did a couple of days in Cairo. The Egyptian museum is fantastic, and among other things I was thrilled to see the famous mask of Pharaoh Tutankhamun

To see these places, the cruise is the ideal solution. There is so much to see and so you also enjoy the breathtaking views.
Because of work entanglements we could only go the first week of June, and the heat was a lot. But it went well also because of the excellent organization and the skill of the guide Gianni (a fantastic Egyptian luminary who told jokes in a Sicilian accent) who made us wake up at dawn to visit the temples with great exertions. But then the late afternoons and evenings sailing, with the river breeze and the desert on either side were magical for recharging our batteries.

Super understanding with girlfriend

I had been engaged for a while and we were a broken-in couple. One of the advantages of this, besides the sharing, and the division of expenses (cruising alone I think makes little economic sense), is the enjoyment of that whole set of codes and catchphrases that already exist and are ready to be put to good use during a vacation. At least this happens to me, who tries to view life as a couple as something that can provide a lot of laughs. Among the many jokes, specific to Egypt, we had humming or quoting the refrain of Caravan Petrol, a song by Renato Carosone.
With Cecilia, the understanding was also perfect in how we dealt with the group moments that are frequent on a trip like this. We had the right balance in living our own spaces and non-excessive spaces with others and we had our own system of communication even nonverbal effective when you are around people.
