The itinerary of the trip to Oman
This is an idea for a solo trip to Oman and the UAE. I did 9 days by public transportation and rental car in December 2022.
These destinations:
- Muscat
- Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates)
- Dubai (United Arab Emirates)
- Nizwa
- Sharqiya Sands Desert
- Wadi Bani Khalid
- Sur
- Ras Al Jinz
It was my first non-European trip after the pandemic.
Knowing a little what I would find, I never thought of spending much time in the new metropolises par excellence. So I studied a rather anomalous itinerary that included 2 days of relocation (to save some money, I flew via Germany). After Oman’s capital Muscat, 2 days in the Emirates and finally 5 in Oman country with more history and nature that I was very interested in.
The reasons for the choice
Speaking of travel during the Covid period, I certainly cannot complain because in Italy and then Europe I still traveled quite a bit, but my eagerness to go back and discover different worlds was great. Considering the days available and the time of year the options were not many, so I opted for the Arabian Peninsula since in Oman and even Abu Dhabi I had only been to airports for stopovers going to Australia and the Far East.
Therefore, I had a couple of magnets hanging on my metal ladder crying out for justice, ready to be justified.
Initially I was almost going to go only to Oman, but in the end I must say that the trip to the Emirates was also worthwhile, albeit brief.
