This live on travel is the first in the series from Laos. I will stay 7 nights here, to be followed by 3 nights in Cambodia.

Live on travel, Vientiane

Heh yes, it’s been too long since I’ve been in these parts, and despite a number of concerns for which I wasn’t counting much on these first few hours in the capital, I was positively surprised.
For those who don’t know where Laos and Vientiane are, you can click here.

Laos street food

I have already had a near incident with Lao street food. I had been intrigued by a funny lady who was preparing her delicacies at lightning speed and speaking machine-like in only Laotian. I wonder what she said to me when I gave her bad money (just arrived… ).
Because he had served several others before me, I was salivating and in a hurry to feel that kind of crepe fried with both oil and margarine and inside which he had put both an egg and a banana, and vanilla on top.

So much so that on the first bite I burned my back lip and spit it out toward someone who was speeding in front of me on a moped. Luckily he didn’t notice and I didn’t catch him either; I could have melted a tire on him.

The Victory Arch, Patuxai

In the video you should also hear the intro of a famous Laotian song. I hope you tube will not give me any copyright issues .

And yes, last week I was in Ibiza, this month I also did a wee in the Pratese Apennines and I was in Barcelona as well!
